A 2005 BMU graduate from Hope College in Holland, Michigan, Liz graduated magna cum laude with a presidential dean’s list.  During her collegiate years, she was vice president for Delta Omicron and president of MENC, the national chapter of music educators.  Upon graduation, Liz completed her Kodaly level 1 training at St. Thomas University.  In 2013, she graduate with her Masters of Music Education from the University of St. Thomas with her levels training completed in Orff-Schulwerk, Kodaly and Dalcroze.  She is currently collecting music in her community as well as teaching in the classroom.

As an instrumental minor with flute as an emphasis, she studied under Rebecca VanDeWalker and took masters classes whenever she could.  As a flute instructor, Liz’s primary focus is beginning and intermediate students, emphasizing the joy of the instrument alongside technique and training through duets and performance opportunities.
